{20 Pieces...}

Last week I purchased 20 pieces of furniture!  Yes, you read that right.  20!  What in the world was I thinking?  I have a plan.  Although when I bought them I didn't have a plan.  I have one know & that's what matters.  Right?

I am so fortunate to have a husband who supports me 110% & who trusts me & my crazy visions.  We purchased all 20 pieces for $800 and some change.  An absolute steal if I say so myself.

I have tons of AS Chalk Paint (TM) waiting on me & two colors specifically that I haven't worked with yet.

Antoinette

Greek Blue

These colors are TO.DIE.FOR!

I have so many ideas floating in my mind & am excited to get to work on all 20 pieces!
I also have some awesomeness in the works but am waiting to finalize a few details before I announce it.
I know I'm a bit of a tease.

I'm keeping track of all my ideas in a notebook so I don't forget anything.
God has blessed me so much that I just can't stop smiling!

So, what are your favorite AS Chalk Paint (TM) colors?

Have a great day!

{Vacation is just a day away...}

Tomorrow Landry & I are leaving to visit my family in Texas.  I'm so excited but sad because we'll be leaving my husband behind for a very long 10 days!  Being a farmer this is one of the busiest times of the year for him so leaving wasn't an option.  We are going with my sister, brother-in-law, niece & nephew so it will definitely be an interesting 18 hour drive!

My grandparents just moved into a new house in Lake Jackson so we'll be helping her decorate which always make me a happy girl!  One of the biggest perks of the new digs is that they are only 30 minutes from the coast & tons of amazing seafood!

Being so far away from family is hard but I'm fortunate that I get to visit them whenever I want.  My brother, sister-in-law and nieces will be driving down from Flower Mound to visit us too.  I'm counting down the days until we leave!

There really is no place like HOME!

{She steals my heart...}

Every single time she smiles, laughs, cries, chatters...
  I love this little girl more than words itself.
She has healed my broken heart a million times over.

I love you Landry Stone!

{Raised In Cotton}

This time last year I decided I wanted to pursue something of my own besides being a mom & wife.  I needed an outlet to release my creative juices & I decided to start with a passion of mine.  Photography.  I love taking pictures.  I'm not the greatest photographer but I try.  I've spent countless amounts of money on frames that I liked but didn't love.  I wanted something that looked like me & my style.  My husband got out his saw & with the help of my grandfather we started making frames.  It has been a long process.  A definitely a learning process.  We finally are at a point where we feel extremely confident in our product & so we launched Raised In Cotton Distressed Frames on Thursday, June 14th.

We chose the name Raised In Cotton because my husband is an 8th generation cotton farmer.  He was literally raised in cotton & our daughter will be too!  The name was a perfect fit!

Please check us out at raisedincottonnc.etsy.com and our blog at raisedincottonnc.blogspot.com! We are excited about our new adventure & are looking forward to the journey it will take us on.  We are working on another business adventure with my favorite sister-in-law, Amber, that I hope to be sharing with y'all soon!

We hope everyone has a great Saturday & just to tease y'all a little this is where I'm spending the weekend!

{Blogging From a New Place....}

Several months ago my PC got a nasty virus.  I was pretty bummed because I was without my computer for a few days.  I got it fixed and the day before our daughter's first birthday it got another virus.  And then every day since it's gotten a virus.  I have no idea what happened but it will be going to the computer guys on Monday to hopefully find a remedy for it.  I do not like being without my computer.

Slowly but surely we've been transferring all of our electronics & technology devices to Apple.  Well, today my husband surprised me with the most amazing gift ever!

He bought me a MacBook Air.  And I'm in love!  It is definitely taking some get used to but so far I'm wondering why I didn't do this sooner!

We are headed to the beach this weekend for Father's Day & we are all super excited to get away from reality for a while.  We have been super busy around here lately & so it will be nice to spend some family time together.  Landry loves the beach and so does her Daddy!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

{We've Been Busy}

We have been super busy since my last post.  On Saturday, June 2nd, we celebrated Landry's 1st birthday with family & friends!  It was an amazing day & party!  Unfortunately, my camera literally stopped working the day of the party!  My heart almost stopped when I went to take the first picture.  Fortunately though a dear friend had her camera & she took pictures for us.  I'm waiting on them to get here in the mail & once they do I will make sure to post them.  I still cannot believe that our sweet girl is ONE!

How is it possible that she went from this

To this

She has been one of the greatest joys of our lives & we are so blessed to be her parents!
We are looking forward to the next year of her journey but wishes we could hit pause for a moment!

We've had so much going on lately that I haven't had time to post.
I'm hoping now that the party is over with I can focus on the house & my new business!
Yes, I finally started my new business.  I'm so excited to share it with y'all & I promise to do so in the next few days!

Right now I'm working on this

Excuse all the iPhone photos but my camera is still not working so it's my only option for pics right now.

Anyway, I started working on this buffet months ago.  We are turning it into a media center.  The goal is to remove the top 2 drawers for our cable box & surround sound.  I purchased new hardware but got stumped because the bottom 2 drawers aren't like the others.  The holes are quite a bit different in distance.  Hope that makes sense.  I figured I could just fill them in with wood filler & make new holes.  But then I got scared.  What if I mess it up?  And then I saw this picture last night on Pinterest.

I love the mixed hardware!

So I'm asking for y'alls opinion.
Should I keep the hardware on the 2 small drawers on top left & right and add these on the rest?

Or go with the original plan & try to fix the holes to accommodate the silver pull hardware?
That sounds so confusing!
I hope it made some kind of sense.

Thanks for your help in advance!
I'm off to finish laundry!

Happy Tuesday!
