{A Few New Pieces}

I hope everyone has had a great week!  It's Friday so that in itself is something to be happy about! We don't have any big plans this weekend except to attend our nephew's basketball game & then work on some house projects.  It's super hot here which makes it miserable to do anything outside but it's okay because we have plenty to do inside.  

We are all finally over our horrible stomach virus so things are getting back to normal.  Landry is recovering slower than Ashley & I but she is eating better & actually playing now so hopefully by the end of the weekend she will be back to 100%.  

Yesterday was the first time I got out of the house since returning from Texas {besides the grocery store trip} & it was definitely a trip worthwhile.  I went to visit my favorite used furniture store & it did not disappoint.  I picked up some amazing pieces!  

 I cannot wait to try a Union Jack treatment on this piece!  The bones of this small dresser are perfect! 

 It's beautiful!

 This oak table is immaculate!  It even has a small drawer on the side!  I don't know whether to paint it or leave it as is.  And do I sale it or keep it?  

I couldn't resist this pretty bamboo inspired piece.  It too is in great shape.  All it needs is some paint & I'm thinking maybe AS Chalk Paint (TM) Emperor's Silk with some dark wax.  

I cannot wait to get started painting all the pieces we've purchased.  

I'm going to start working on some more frames this weekend too.  

They are going to be for our living room!  

Believe it or not we have none in our own home so it's time to fix that.

{Virus & Milk Paint}

So, last week my husband had what we thought was food poisoning & it turned out to be a stomach virus.  A really bad stomach virus.  Our daughter ended up with it & so did I.  I don't think I've ever been that sick before.  And watching Landry be that sick has been horrible.  She was running a 103.2 fever for 2 days, diarrhea & vomiting.  It has been a rough 2 days.  She is slowly recovering but just isn't herself which breaks my heart.  

On a completely random note....

I did it....

I placed my order for Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint. 

I ordered 6 of the 12 colors along with the antiquing wax & crackle medium.

Everything Marian {MMS} does is gorgeous & perfect so I expect no less from these paints. 

Hoping our lives are back to normal soon so I can get this house cleaned, furniture painted & some frames made!
