Today is World Prematurity Day!
We have two preemies in our family.
Parker, born at 33 weeks weighing 3 pounds & 12 ounces &
Landry, born at 32 weeks weighing 3 pounds 9 ounces.
Parker spent 20 hours in the NICU before she passed away.
Landry spent 32 days in the NICU before she came home.
Did you know that 500,000 babies are born premature every year?
Did you know that every 30 seconds a premature baby dies?
As the mother of two preemies I encourage you to please find your local March of Dimes & get involved by donating financially or by volunteering your time.
No parent should ever know the feeling of delivering a baby too soon.
To all the NICU doctors & nurses THANK YOU for doing what you do!
That honestly brought tears to my eyes, my daughter was born one week later at 34 weeks. She is now 14. I know how dangerous it is for any babies to arrive to soon but I kind of didn't realize how dangerous it still is at 33 and even 34 weeks. We do donate to the March of Dimes and my children's private school does a fundraiser every year. My heart goes out to you and your family. thank you for sharing and helping to educate people on the importance of the March of Dimes.
