It's finally done. After I have no idea how many coats of paint it's done. I love the way it turned out! I normally use Behr Premium Plus paint but was in a rush to get started on this project so I headed to our local Wal-Mart which is 20 minutes away versus the Home Depot which is an hour away. I would advise anyone to use Behr paint to save yourself some time!

Hopefully I'll have some pictures of the guest room in which this chest sits soon. I'll start working on my next project tomorrow which is a chest that belongs to my sister. It's getting a coat of Behr's Black Suede and is a surprise for her. She is visiting our family in Texas right now and so I'm going to finally get around to finishing the chest for her birthday on the 22nd!

It looks great! Did you have to sand the chest before you painted it to make the paint adhere better? How did you get it to look "aged" in certain spots? I am so not good at stuff like that but I am trying to learn. I have so much furniture I need to buy for various rooms of the house and can't afford to purchase new. I have been searching on Craigslist but am a little intimidated. Any suggestions or tips you'd be willing to share for painting? I need all the help I can get! :)
